University of Kisubi Welcomes Freshers Through an Inspiring Orientation Week

From 10th to 15th August, the University of Kisubi welcomed its newest students through an engaging and informative Orientation Week held under the theme, “Adding Value to Oneself.”

The week was carefully designed to help freshers transition into university life, equipping them with the knowledge, resources and connections needed to make the most of their academic journey.

The programme began with student registration, followed by an opportunity for the freshers to meet the University’s leadership, including the Vice Chancellor and Academic Registrar. Students were introduced to what the University of Kisubi stands for, its support systems, and the various student clubs and co-curricular opportunities available to enrich their university experience.

As the week progressed, students explored important aspects of life beyond the classroom, including accommodation, personal health, mental wellbeing, campus security and adjusting to life away from home. Sessions on financial management, tuition processes, quality assurance, research and entrepreneurial innovation further prepared students for a holistic university experience. Students were also officially onboarded onto the University’s e-learning system.

The highlight of the week was the Matriculation Day. Following an insightful session on the use of the University Library, preparations turned towards an evening of celebration. The occasion began with Holy Mass, followed by the official matriculation ceremony, formally welcoming the students into the University of Kisubi community.
