ICT TECHNICAL

Introduction

The ICT technical department  provides ICT technical support to all the existing units of the university.

The department is equipped with competent ICT engineers who curry out duties like networking, information system management, computer repair and maintenance, attending to students ICT needs, and above all supporting the academic units by providing hands on skills to the students.

Vision

To be an efficient, effective and economic support department to the University of Kisubi in utilisation of Information and Communication Technology.

Mission

To support the University of Kisubi by ensuring sustainable accessibility of ICT resources through quality high management and maintenance of the ICT infrastructure.

Objectives of the department

  1. To deliver quality ICT services to the university
  2. To provide enhanced help desk services and web-based self-support in information technology for students and staff.
  3. Identify and allocate resources for acquisition and support of information technology at UniK
  4. Provide appropriate and adequate technology and training to all faculty and staff to support academic program objectives.
