University of Kisubi, 3rd at the 15th Higher Education Exhibition

The University of Kisubi (UniK) proudly participated in the 15th Higher Education Exhibition organized by the National Council for Higher Education. The three-day event showcased innovative advancements in higher education under the theme: Strategies, Challenges, and Best Practices for Artificial Intelligence Integration in Higher Education in Uganda. UniK’s impressive showcase of innovations earned it the 3rd position in the Category of Public and Private Charter Universities, reaffirming its commitment to technological excellence and education transformation.

Recognition and Award

At the conclusion of the exhibition, UniK was recognized for its outstanding contributions to AI-driven education and sustainable innovations, securing the 3rd place in the Public and Private Charter Universities category. The event was officially closed by Dr. Kedrace Turyagyenda, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Education and Sports in Uganda, who commended institutions for their efforts in advancing AI and innovation in higher education.

Distinguished Visitors

Among the notable visitors to the UniK exhibition booth was Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda. Moved by UniK’s Eco Bike innovation, he promised to schedule a special visit to the university for a deeper engagement with its innovators. Other recognizable government officials also visited the booth and praised UniK’s efforts in integrating AI into education and sustainable solutions.

Students and teachers from visiting institutions showed great enthusiasm in learning about AI-driven solutions and other technological innovations demonstrated by UniK. Their engagement underscored the growing interest in integrating AI and sustainable technology in education and everyday life.
