The University of Kisubi (UniK) on Friday, 24th October 2025, held its 10th Graduation Ceremony at the University’s main campus under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.” The colorful event began with a Eucharistic celebration led by Msgr. Charles Kasibante, who represented His Grace Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere, the main celebrant.
In his message to the graduands, Msgr. Kasibante challenged them “not to be tourists of selfies but pilgrims who leave a footprint”, urging them to live purposefully and contribute meaningfully to society beyond the celebration of academic success.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, faculty, parents, and friends who witnessed the conferment of degrees, diplomas, and certificates to 542 graduands, including 319 females and 223 males.
During the academic procession, UniK showcased its commitment to innovation and sustainability through exhibitions of groundbreaking projects such as the Eco Bike and the UniK SolGen Trike, a solar-powered three-wheeler developed by the University’s Innovation Hub.
Outstanding academic excellence was also recognized.
- Lwantale Alice Beatrice emerged as the Best Student in the Graduate School, graduating with a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation with a CGPA of 4.63.
- Akena John Baptist was named Best Student in Health Sciences with a CGPA of 4.65.
- Namirembe Monica, from the Bachelor of Science in Counselling Psychology program, achieved a CGPA of 4.63.
- Atim Beatrice, graduating with a Bachelor of Child Protection and Development, earned a CGPA of 4.61.
- The Overall Best Student was Nagujja Agnes Norah, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion and Design scoring an impressive CGPA of 4.72.
As the University of Kisubi celebrates a decade of empowering graduates, the message of the day resounded clearly that education is not just a journey of self-accomplishment but a pilgrimage of hope, innovation, positive change embodied in servant Leadership
